Tara Quin Hair is a small, independent salon business run by Tara Quin. This page explains what information we collect, why, and how we look after it. The short version: your details are used to arrange and look after your appointments, and are never sold.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry, we collect your name, email address, mobile number, the service and times you are interested in, anything you tell us about your hair, and any reference photos you upload. We also keep the messages you send us by email, Instagram or phone, your appointment bookings and payments, and notes about the colour and services you have had, so each visit builds on the last.

How we use it

We use your information to reply to your enquiry, plan your colour, and book and coordinate your appointments. After an appointment, we may also get in touch to see how your hair is going, ask for feedback or a review, or let you know when you are likely due for your next visit.

From time to time, we may also share news or offers with clients. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any message or letting us know.

Who can see it

Your information is only seen by Tara. We never sell it or pass it to anyone else for their marketing. It is stored with the services that run the business: this website is hosted by Netlify, which receives enquiry form submissions and photos; appointments and payments are managed through Square; email is hosted by Google; and Instagram messages are held by Meta. These are established providers that protect and store data securely, including encrypting it in transit. Some of them store data outside Australia.

Card payments are processed securely by Square. We never see or store your full card details.

Reference photos are stored with your enquiry and opened through private links that are not published anywhere. If you would rather not share your face, a photo of your hair from behind or the side is all Tara needs.

This website

This site does not use analytics, advertising trackers or cookies of its own. Like any website, the host keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security. The map on the booking page loads from OpenFreeMap, so your browser connects to that service when you view the map.

Enquiries are screened for spam automatically by Netlify, which hosts the form, before they reach Tara.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only for as long as we need it to look after you as a client, and delete it when it is no longer needed. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Your choices

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and you can stop receiving any messages from us at any time. Email taraquinhairstylist@gmail.com or message Tara on Instagram, and she will take care of it.

Changes

If how we handle your information changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
