At the chair, Tara looks at your regrowth and the colour through your lengths, and agrees the shade and whether you need a root tint or global colour.

Colour
Tara mixes your shade and applies it to the regrowth, or from root to tip for global colour, then leaves it to develop.

Your colour is rinsed and your hair dried off. Add a blow-dry if you would like to leave styled.

How much is a root tint?
A root tint starts from $150 and global colour from $200. Toner is quoted separately if you need one, and a dry off or blow-dry after colour is priced on the price list. All prices include GST.
How often should I get a root tint?
Most people book a root tint every 4 to 6 weeks, depending on how fast their hair grows and how much their regrowth shows. For grey coverage, closer to every 4 weeks keeps the line from showing. Global colour usually needs refreshing every 8 to 12 weeks.
What is the difference between a root tint and global colour?
A root tint colours only your regrowth, to match the colour already through your hair. Global colour is one colour applied from root to tip, to refresh faded colour or change your shade all over. Tara will tell you which you need at your consultation.
Can a root tint cover grey hair?
Yes. A root tint is the usual way to cover grey regrowth, and booking before the line shows keeps coverage even. Tara matches the shade to the rest of your hair.
Can I add brightness to my root tint?
Yes. A root tint can be paired with foils around the face and parting for brightness. Tara can plan the two together at your consultation.
